Some ministries begin with a simple act of kindness. For Audrey, the name Wanna Buddy was born out of a personal moment—someone offered to be her “buddy” when she was down. That act lifted her spirit and inspired a mission: to serve others with the same compassion and encouragement she once received.

Today, Wanna Buddy is more than just a ministry of food and clothing. It’s about reminding people they are worthy and deeply loved by God.

Audrey’s Heart for the Mission

“I’ve seen lives change, I’ve seen some stay the same,” Audrey shares, “but my mission is to love people, encourage them, and let them know they are worthy. God doesn’t love them any different than He loves us.”

Her vision is simple yet powerful: to serve, to encourage, and to walk alongside those who need to be reminded of their dignity and God’s unfailing love.

More Than Meals—It’s About Relationships

Jordan, who has served with Audrey for nearly a decade, remembers the early days:
“I met her when she had just a small table outside Manor. Now it’s grown into a lot more food, a lot more clothes, and a full organization. But what really matters is the ‘buddy’ side of it. Audrey goes table to table, talking with people, hearing their stories, and showing them love like Jesus would love us.”

Wanna Buddy has grown, but its heartbeat remains the same: building relationships and listening to stories that matter.

Learning Through Service

Jim began volunteering earlier this year after years of wanting to get involved. At first, it was overwhelming: “The first months felt like organizing the chaos, making sure I didn’t mess anything up. But as I got to know the people, I started hearing their stories—and realizing that their struggles could just as easily be ours. It’s been eye-opening and encouraging. I’m so grateful for the opportunity.”

His journey shows how volunteering not only blesses others but also transforms the hearts of those who serve.

Families Serving Together

For Deborah and her family, Wanna Buddy is a chance to serve side by side:
“We loved what Audrey was doing, so we started coming as a family as much as we could. It’s exciting to see the same people week after week and build real relationships. Recently, we met a pregnant woman, and because we knew ahead of time, we could start gathering clothes for her. This ministry is about being part of the same family—loving and supporting one another.”

An Invitation to You

Wanna Buddy is a place where meals and clothes are just the beginning. It’s about friendship, listening ears, and encouragement through Christ. Every act of kindness—whether it’s serving food, donating clothing, or simply offering a smile—becomes part of God’s work in changing lives.

You’re invited to join us. Whether you have time to serve, items to donate, or a desire to listen and encourage, there’s a place for you in this ministry. Together, we can remind every person that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.

Wanna Buddy started from humble beginnings and now lead an impactful community mission.
